It was extremely hot on court during my midday match but I managed to get a win over the Dane in 3 sets. It was tough though with the ball bouncing all over the shop. It was also Line's birthday so I felt a little guilty that I ruined her day.

Quarters - Nat Grainger 9/11 7/11 7/11

After practicing in the morning, I was going nuts resting in my room until my 7.45 pm match, especially in the Carribean. I passed the time with some study and mucking around with a soccer ball. Anyway, it was time to play and we walked onto court with music blasting. Im not sure what song was playing when I walked out but I had to laugh when the South African born an now US representative walked onto court with Bruce Springstein's 'Born in the USA'. I felt like I played well against the world number 2 and was leading 9/5 in the first game, but then got tense and made some silly errors to lose the first 11/9. I needed to stay relaxed but unfortunately was down 0/1. I stayed in the next two games but Grainger found her lethal short game and won those crucial points. I just need to stay a bit more relaxed on court for my next tournament.

So I have two more days in Cayman. Lisa 'Camel' Camilleri and I are training this morning then going to find our way to the beach for some jetskiing, then are doing some junior clinics this afternoon. Tomorrow we leave for Texas for the next tournament but before we leave, we are going to Stingray City to swim with some rays. Should be fun and I heard they are enormous.

Anyway I will write again soon (I hope my mum reminds me ha)
