Today I played World Number 20, Dipika Pallikal in the last 16 of the US Open. A talented player and rising star, Dipika came out strong with attacking kill shots and a solid boast. I was able to get on top though and won the first game 11/8. I tightened up a little in the second but stayed ahead in the game to win 11/8. At the start of the 3rd game, Dipika cut her knee and injury time was given. Upon restarting I focussed on staying relaxed and tried to expose her movement with short rallies and won the third comfortably 11/6 in the 3rd game.
