I had a great year in 2010 and I felt my squash has improved a great deal within the last 12 months. Within that time, I have moved from World Number 12 to World Number 7 and have had some great tournament results. The highlight of the year would definitely be winning 3 medals at the Commonwealth Games held in Delhi. To represent your country is a huge honour and to win a gold in the mixed doubles with Cameron Pilley and 2 bronze medals to add to Australia's medal tally was a great experience. I also had the chance to represent Australia at the World Women's Team Championships along with former World Number 1 players Sarah Fitzgerald, Rachael Grinham and coach, Michelle Martin. It was a privilege to be surrounded by such legends and I learned alot while competing. To top that, Australia won the final against England to retain the World Team trophy. On an individual level, I won the EBS Dayton Open in February, defeating Sarah Kippaz in the final. I have also been a finalist at the Punj Lloyd Masters and semi finalist at the Carol Weymuller Open, Tourneo Bicentario Mexico Open and Chennai Open Championships. Within the year, I was able to get a good two and a half month training block from May to July, where I trained with the Australian Institute of Sport, under Byron Davis and worked with Rod Martin in New York, which laid the foundation for a successful end of year. I want to thank everyone who has supported me through my career and I hope that 2011 brings more success. Kasey
